Locate both your public IP and your device's local IP address in under a minute.
Go to Google and search "what is my IP." The first result shows the public IP address your whole network uses on the internet. This is the one you'd give a tech-support agent or game host.
Open Command Prompt (search "cmd"), type ipconfig, and press Enter. Your local address is the "IPv4 Address," usually starting with 192.168 or 10.
Open System Settings > Wi-Fi > Details (next to your network), and read the "IP Address" field. Or hold Option and click the Wi-Fi icon in the menu bar.
On iPhone: Settings > Wi-Fi > tap the (i) next to your network. On Android: Settings > About phone > Status, or the Wi-Fi network's details. The local IP only works inside your own home network.
