How to Mirror Your Phone to a TV

Put your phone's screen on the TV to share photos, videos, or apps with the room.

1. Put the phone and TV on the same Wi-Fi

   Wireless mirroring only works when both devices are on the same network. Check your TV's network setting if you're not sure.

2. iPhone: use Screen Mirroring

   Open Control Center (swipe down from the top-right), tap "Screen Mirroring," and choose your Apple TV or AirPlay-compatible TV. Enter the code shown on the TV if asked.

3. Android: use Cast or Smart View

   Swipe down to Quick Settings and tap "Cast" (or "Smart View" on Samsung). Pick your Chromecast or smart TV from the list.

4. No smart TV? Use a cable or stick

   Plug in a Chromecast, Fire Stick, or Apple TV, or connect with an HDMI adapter for your phone. Then mirror to that device instead.
