Get a splinter out quickly and painlessly with basic household supplies.
Pat dry gently — you need to see the splinter clearly.
A needle works too if the splinter is below the surface.
If there is no exposed end, use a sterilized needle to gently lift the tip above the skin, then grab it with the tweezers.
Watch for redness or swelling over the next day or two — signs it may be infected.
