Get dried candle wax out of clothing, tablecloths, or upholstery using items you already have at home.
Put the fabric in the freezer for 30 minutes, or hold an ice cube against the wax until it's completely hard and brittle.
Use a butter knife or credit card edge to crack and lift away as much solid wax as possible. Work gently to avoid damaging the fabric.
Place a paper towel or brown paper bag over the stain, then press a warm iron (no steam) over it for a few seconds. The heat melts the residual wax and the paper absorbs it. Move to a clean section of paper and repeat until no more wax transfers.
Treat any leftover discoloration with a dab of dish soap or stain remover, then launder according to the fabric's care label. Air dry and check the stain before using a dryer, since heat can set any remaining residue.
