How to Remove Super Glue from Skin

Get super glue off your fingers safely using stuff you already have at home.

  1. Soak the glued area in warm, soapy water for 5 minutes

Use dish soap and the warmest water you can comfortably handle. This softens the bond and makes removal easier.

  2. Rub acetone (nail polish remover) on the glue with a cotton ball

Gently roll and peel the edges as the glue loosens. Skip this step if skin is cracked or cut — stick with the soapy water and keep soaking instead.

  3. Wash the area with soap and water, then apply moisturizer

Acetone dries skin out. A basic lotion or coconut oil will restore moisture and soothe any irritation.
