How to Set Up a Hotspot on iPhone

Share your iPhone's cellular data with other devices over Wi-Fi in seconds.

1. Open Settings and tap Personal Hotspot

   On some carriers, this may be under Settings > Cellular > Personal Hotspot instead.

2. Toggle "Allow Others to Join" on

   Your Wi-Fi password is shown on this screen — tap it to change it to something easier to share.

3. On your other device, connect to your iPhone's name in the Wi-Fi list and enter the password

   A blue banner (or pill icon on newer iPhones) appears at the top of your screen when a device is connected.
