How to Set Up Apple Pay

Add a credit or debit card to your iPhone so you can pay with a tap.

1. Open the Wallet app on your iPhone

   It comes pre-installed — look for the black icon with colored cards on your home screen, or swipe down and search for "Wallet."

2. Tap the "+" button in the top right, then select "Debit or Credit Card"

   You may need to tap "Continue" and sign in with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode.

3. Scan your card with the camera or tap "Enter Card Details Manually"

   Your bank may require a verification code sent via text or email before the card is approved.

4. Once verified, hold your iPhone near a payment terminal at checkout and authenticate with Face ID or Touch ID

   Look for the contactless payment symbol (four curved lines) at the register. Double-click the side button to bring up your card if it doesn't appear automatically.
