How to Set Up Face ID on iPhone

Enable Face ID to unlock your phone, authorize purchases, and sign in to apps with just a glance.

1. Open Settings and tap "Face ID & Passcode"

   Enter your passcode when prompted. If you haven't set a passcode yet, you'll be asked to create one first.

2. Tap "Set Up Face ID" and position your face in the frame

   Hold your iPhone 10-20 inches from your face. Slowly rotate your head in a circle so the camera captures all angles. You'll do this twice.

3. Tap "Done" and choose what Face ID can access

   Toggle on the features you want — iPhone Unlock, App Store purchases, password autofill, and supported third-party apps.
