Redirect your USPS mail to a new address when you move so nothing gets lost.
Visit moversguide.usps.com (the official USPS Change of Address page). Avoid third-party sites that charge inflated fees for the same service.
Select whether you are moving as an individual or a whole household, and pick temporary (up to a year) or permanent forwarding.
Provide your old address, new address, and the date you want forwarding to start. Double-check every line for typos so mail is not misrouted.
Pay the small identity-verification fee (about $1.10) with a credit or debit card billed to your old or new address. This confirms you are the resident and prevents fraud.
Save the confirmation email and code. Forwarding takes a few days to start, so also update your address with your bank, employer, and subscriptions directly.
